Superfood & Company Founder, CEO, and Head Brew Master Blake Lewis said Wise Brewing would not be serving customers at the new location but was excited for the new possibilities the new venture brings.

“It is set as a brewery location for production-only purposes,” Lewis said in an email to What Now San Diego.

He said the project was still in early stages and wasn’t quite sure what the launch date would be.

In an alcohol license filed with the state, Wise Brewing applied to become a small beer manufacturer in Carlsbad.

Superfood & Company uses quality ingredients, local artesian spring water, superfoods, and unique brewing techniques. A husband-and-wife startup, it has grown its farmers market presence in the area over the years as Lewis sees Wise Brewing as being separate.

“This will be another wonderful path direction and journey,” Lewis said.
