Lucky San Diegans will soon be treated to two new In-N-Out Burger locations. The first is set to open this month on Friars Road in Grantville. Another location is scheduled later in 2022 on Outer Road in the South Bay.

Locals in Grantville have expressed worry the new location, with their notoriously long drive-thru lines, mixed with a new Starbucks drive-thru line across the street will cause a traffic nightmare. In the South Bay, the Outer Road location is drumming up some speculation as to how it will affect traffic at nearby I-5 exits at Coronado Avenue and Palm Avenue. A positive to consider is how the new option may reduce the lines found at the National City In-N-Out.
Despite concerns by locals, the new locations still spark excitement as these will be the first new In-N-Out’s to arrive in seven years. Both locations are listed on In-N-Out Burger’s Grand Openings page and are looking to fill staffing needs. Stay tuned to their website as dates are finalized by the company. The Outer Road location is still in their construction phase but Friars Road is expected to serve the area very soon.
