Restaurant Owner Greg Newman has plans to expand his restaurant reach to San Diego. Eater SD first shared the news that he’ll be laying down roots in Pacific Beach next. The concept of the new restaurant is based off of one of Newman’s previous projects: Tower 12 in Hermosa Beach, CA.
No word just yet if the concept will remain the same or if the new venture will roll out a completely unique menu than Tower 12’s. According to their website, Tower 12 offers “beach-town casual” dining and bar atmosphere from their perch overlooking lively Pier Avenue. Their logo boasts that you’ll find food meant to sustain the hungry surfer. House favorites include hand-crafted burgers, wood-fired pizzas, and loaded salads.
The new restaurant will replace Fat Fish Cantinagrill at Mission Blvd and Garnet, steps from Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach. According to Eater, the new restaurant is planned to open by late 2022. For a taste of what’s to come, visit the Tower 12 Website.
