From the Otra Tacos team that introduced San Diego to La Taqueria Tijuana, an unnamed restaurant is in the works on India Street in Little Italy. The new spot will update a former dessert shop next to Burger Lounge.
While La Taqueria Tijuana specializes in Tijuana-style street tacos in a fast-casual setting, the new concept will focus on elevated Mexican Seafood dishes.
Owner of FFE Hospitality, Fernando Montiel, tells What Now San Diego we can expect an upscale, Baja-inspired Seafood restaurant. Their new concept will feature elevated ceviche dishes and a raw oyster bar, and should feel more Omakase style where folks can gather in the intimate setting and be treated to unique seafood dishes by Chef Miguel Ángel Gómez.
For a more familiar treat, you can currently find La Taqueria open in National City and Little Italy. The new restaurant is expected to debut by Summer 2022.
