Pacific Beach hangout, The Sandbox, is making plans to introduce a new location in the Gaslamp Quarter. The pizzeria will replace longtime seafood spot, Tin Fish, steps from Petco Park.
SanDiegoVille first reported the changeover should take place over the summer with The Sandbox updating the Convention Center adjacent restaurant space to a tiki-inspired Downtown hub. The space comes complete with a sunny outdoor patio overlooking Harbor Drive.
Established in 2013, The Sandbox specializes in Pizza, Pints, and Wings. On their menu, an array of finger foods from tots, Grubsticks (aka breadsticks), and wings tossed in your choice of sauces or rubs. Plus loads of signature pizza combinations and stuffed calzones.
