The Regular is hitting the streets of University Heights, hoping to fill the shoes of Small Bar which sat at 4628 Park Blvd. Unfortunately, Small Bar could not withstand the heavy weight of pandemic adjustments and closed its doors in 2020.
Owner John Pani of neighborhood local Park & Rec took on the literally small bar in 2021 with plans to revamp into a new pub-style concept. Small Bar was well-known for their impressive craft beer list, signature cocktails, bar snacks, and of course their Steak Night special.
Pani is a regular himself to the San Diego bar business. He is also the founder of ELE Collective, and former proprietor of now-closed Waypoint Public in North Park.
No confirmation yet on when The Regular is scheduling their neighborhood debut. A social media footprint has yet to be found for the new establishment. Stay tuned for news so you can snatch a seat at the bar when doors reopen at 4628 Park Blvd.
