And I think we all know what pairs well with any activity: pizza.

Buona Forchetta, the San Diego staple and Italian eatery based in South Park, will bring their very best to the North City community later this year. According to a press release, “The wildly popular Italian eatery is set to open to guests for lunch and dinner very soon. It will occupy a 3,000 square-foot space in North City’s up-and-coming downtown district.”

You can expect a menu similar to that at Buona Forchetta’s flagship South Park restaurant. Buona Forchetta North City will offer an all-day menu with “authentic Neapolitan and Roman-style pizzas from a custom Stefano Ferrara Italian pizza oven, as well as appetizers, calzones, fresh pastas, salads, entrees and desserts.”

In addition, the eatery will be open for breakfast, with pastries from its sibling bakery, Matteo, which is named for Buona Forchetta Family-owner, Matteo Catteneo. There are even plans in the works to eventually add a retail store which will carry Italian goods, fresh pasta, and bakery items.

Post-pizza you might just head over to Wynn’s Ice Cream Co. for a sweet cap or Mesa Rim Climbing & Fitness Center for a little exercise. Either way, North City in San Marcos will surely provide the all-day experience you’re looking for.
