The Living Room Coffeehouse will open its newest location at 2512 Jamacha Road in El Cajon, CA, occupying a former Starbucks and Taste of Italy, within the Rancho San Diego Town & Country shopping center, according to Owner & CEO, Sam Azzu.
Mr. Azzu tells What Now San Diego that while he signed the lease in September 2021, the city has taken over 8 months to issue a permit. Despite these delays, Mr. Azzo informs that construction begins this month and he remains hopeful about a January 2023 grand opening. This will be the fourth Living Room Coffeehouse location, all of which operate in the San Diego area.
Founded in 1991 and currently operating three locations in La Jolla and San Diego, the restaurant serves a simple selection of European café staples such as crêpes, quiche, croissants alongside American-style dining. The Jamacha Road location will be the first to feature full-fledged Italian dining.
