“The Gumbo Pot is looking forward to being at Hancock Street kitchen space! Chef Richard has been doing the Gumbo Pot business for over 30 years now in San Diego. People who attend Gator by the Bay, Adams Avenue Street Fair, LSU Crawfish Boil, San Diego Blues Festival and other area events and street fairs know him and the food well,” shares co-owner Lynne Taylor

The business is one of seven restaurants that will be moving in to use the space and serve directly from the site. Hancock Kitchens will offer a diverse lineup of food choices offered on-site, from Thai, African cuisine, pizza, Mexican, vegan, and more.

Guests will be able to order from The Gumbo Pot’s expansive menu of Southern and Creole dishes with options like Jambalaya, Shrimp Etouffee, Po’Boy sandwiches, Mac n Cheese entrees, plus of course, the classic Gumbo.

The site promises easy access for delivery drivers and guests picking up their orders. Another plus is the small outdoor seating area, which appeals to The Gumbo Pot which has operated out of other area ghost kitchens without on-site accommodations.

Hancock Kitchens is putting final touches on their new location and The Gumbo Pot expects to begin service from the Midway District in January 2023. Get acquainted with their menu by visiting their Website
