Tea Monks Boba will head to El Cajon to open its third bubble tea shop. Currently up and running in North County, a recent permit filing places its next storefront at Parkway Plaza shopping mall.
Co-Owners Utsav Ahuja and Sanjeev Kumar opened their flagship store at Carlsbad Premium Outlets in early 2022, adding a second location at Escondido’s North County Mall later that summer.
Tea Monks brews up flavored fruit teas like Strawberry Mango Green Tea, and non-caffeinated drinks like Lemonades, Slushies, and Fruit Smoothies. Their most popular drinks are the Tiger Boba (a brown sugar milk tea), Taro Tea, and Thai Tea. Guests can choose from a variety of toppings and add-ins including fresh fruit, Matcha Crystals, Coconut Jelly, and more.
Tea Monks puts quality first, making its boba fresh in-house, cooked every 4-5 hours. The boba shop has expanded its menu to include colorful macaron ice cream sandwiches.
