Tea Monks Boba will head to Escondido to open their second bubble tea shop. Currently up and running at the Carlsbad Premium Outlets, their latest location is heading to the food court at Westfield North County Mall.
Co-Owners Utsav Ahuja and Sanjeev Kumar tell What Now San Diego the brand is San Diego based for now but their team has plans to expand further in the future, possibly franchising down the road.
Ahuja says we can expect their new menu to stay the same as their Carlsbad location. The team plans to get creative soon, adding in specialty coffee and ice cream options.
Kumar shares that while innovation is key in the boba market, Tea Monks puts quality first. Their boba is made fresh in-house, cooked every 4-5 hours.
Tea Monks brews up flavored fruit teas like Strawberry Mango Green Tea, and non-caffeinated drinks like Lemonades, Slushies, and Fruit Smoothies. Their most popular drinks are the Tiger Boba (a brown sugar milk tea), Taro Tea, and Thai Tea. Guests can choose from a variety of toppings and add-ins including fresh fruit, Matcha Crystals, Coconut Jelly, and more.
