Sushi Ichifuji will get its start in the Linda Vista neighborhood this year. The new restaurant is due to replace Sushi Diner on Mesa College Drive

Sushi Diner announced the closure of their Japanese-Jamaican fusion restaurant on their website. Their last day of operation will be January 31st but have a second location that will remain in operation on Friars Road.

Sushi Ichifuji is introduced by co-owners Masato Fujita and Hiroshi Ichikawa. Ichikawa tells What Now San Diego they are still working on details and developing the menu but will feature Chef’s choice, Japanese Omakase dining experience. 

Sushi Ichifuji is expected to open in March 2023. Follow on Instagram for updates and an opening announcement.
