“We have lived in San Diego for decades, and our favorite activity has always been gathering together after school, work, and on the weekends to relax, catch up, and of course—eat ice cream!” says Sunny Scoops’ website, “We hope to bring that same sense of community to our customers with outdoor seating, games, and events happening throughout the year.”

So far the shop has provided sneak peeks of what’s to come via social media, including the ‘waffle taco’ or Sunny Scoops’ “San Diego inspired version of a taco” that comes with 3 scoops of ice cream, chocolate syrup, and a cherry all packed inside a waffle cone taco. Did we mention the waffles cones are homemade?

The shop’s menu boasts an array of frozen treats from floats and milkshakes to sundaes and just plain, old-fashioned scoops. 24 flavors of ice cream, sherbet, Greek yogurt, as well as dairy and sugar free options will be available once Sunny Scoops is up and running. And Best of all, imo, has to be the affogatos, which come with two scoops of vanilla ice cream, hot coffee, and toppings of shaved dark chocolate and whipped cream.

According to a post from July 14th, Sunny Scoops is set to open this September at 12120 Alta Carmel Court, Suite 410A in San Diego. Check out the company’s social media for more information.
