Part of the continued revitalization of Seaport Village, commercial real estate company Retail Insite confirms that Shorebird will join the waterfront community. The area will soon welcome Malibu Farm, Old Harbor Distilling, and Zytoun.

Shorebird recently shared initial art renderings of the new location with their social media followers. The mock up shows their signage atop a bay front restaurant with covered outdoor seating on the deck which looks out to the water.

Shorebird is open in Newport Beach and Sedona, Arizona and operated by Wild Thyme Restaurant Group, who also operate Jay Bird’s Nashville Hot Chicken locations throughout Orange County.

The restaurant specializes in coastal cuisine in a casual setting. Their menu is all-inclusive of California cuisine, featuring taco platters, sushi rolls, raw oysters, and elegant seafood or steak entrees. You can even order Jay Bird’s namesake Chicken and Waffles dish on Shorebird’s Brunch menu.

According to their social media, San Diego may not be the last of Shorebird’s growth as they wait to consider the possibility of more locations in the future. Shorebird at Seaport Village is expected to open in Fall 2022 after renovations take place this summer. Stay tuned for more updates by following Shorebird on Facebook
