You bring the fresh face, and Selfie Social will provide the picturesque backdrop to inspire your social media feeds. San Diego will soon welcome its first brick and mortar, immersive selfie experience with dining and drinks. There have been other insta-famous pop-ups like The Selfie Market and the Museum of Ice Cream but Selfie Social extends the concept further.

What Now San Diego learned more from Partner Alvin Barnuevo, a Virginia restaurateur who has been eyeing San Diego for this project. “The whole concept is based around taking selfies. We have six curated rooms with different designs. The designs will rotate every six months, plus there’s Easter eggs throughout that pay homage to TV and fads from the past 20 years,” shares Barnuevo. They have your feed in mind, creating a picturesque setting anywhere you look. They’ll even have special lighting taken care of so you’re able to look your best.

Beyond snapping pics, the dining space has booth, bar, and tabletop seating. On the menu, think playful bar snacks but make it plant-based. With so many options for carnivores around Convoy, Barnuevo said he didn’t want to compete with the meats. Selfie Social will serve up nachos with Beyond Meat and vegan cheese, plant-based “Chicken” Tenders, Cauliflower Soup, Corn Dog Waffles, all Instagrammable of course.

While the full menu along with beer and wine service is in progress, Selfie Social is offering a sneak peek on October 23rd. Pending permit finalization, they’ll open their doors for full service in November.  Visit their Instagram for updates and check out their Website for future opportunities to book a private session.
