Rikka Fika will specialize in diverse coffee roasts from around the globe alongside shokupan toast, also known as Japanese Milk Bread. The fluffy loaves of white bread are cut in thick slices and are said to be the best bread for toast.

According to their website, “Rikka” in Japanese means the first day of summer and “Fika” is Swedish for “an essential daily ritual to slow down and take a coffee break.”

The business is led by owners and coffee enthusiasts, Michelle Jow and Scott Chen. The new concept is described as an oasis, a gathering space for customers to relax and recharge.

What Now San Diego reached out to the team from Rikka Fika for an opening timeline. Check back for updates as they become available. For now, visit the Rikka Fika Website for information ahead of their social media debut.
