Plant Power Fast Food is interested in more than just good eats. They’re interested in the data. A trip to the company’s website shows the number’s behind its philosophy. According to Plant Power, a 100% plant-based eatery that even uses sustainable materials to build its chairs and tables, if every American committed to eating just one plant-based burger in place of a beef burger per week, it would the equivalent of taking 12 million cars of the road per year.
The fast-casual eatery first started in 2016. Five years later, the company has grown throughout SoCal and beyond. Today, Plant Power has nine locations in California and a first headed soon to Las Vegas. The company boasts a menu of burgers, fries, and shakes that contain zero artificial colors and flavors, zero cholesterol, and not even an inkling of high fructose corn syrup. Even their takeout packaging is 100% compostable and made from plant products instead of petroleum. We could go on, but we’ll let Plant Power’s website do that for you.
And good news for Carmel Mountain folks, Plant Power is headed to the Carmel Mountain Plaza. The company’s 11th store is “coming soon” according to CMP’s directory. The company will take over Suite 20 in the shopping center, which was most recently occupied by Boston Market and, as if in defiance, stands just across from In-N-Out Burger. This seems to have since fallen through. No location has opened and this has been removed from their opening soon section.
Yeah this story didn’t age well unfortunately. I wonder what happened? They just quietly removed it one day without a peep. I did feel the location was a wee bit questionable literally facing In N Out. So bummed though as this area has no reasonable access to a location and I really love their food!
