Pho G-Beef to Debut in Rancho Penasquitos

Pho G-Beef, a brand new Vietnamese concept, is preparing to debut in Rancho Penasquitos, located at 13297 Black Mountain Rd.

The new restaurant will replace Yenchim Garden Restaurant in Rancho Penasquitos Towne Center, according to a recent liquor license application. Owner Ms. Tran tells What Now San Diego that Yenchim‘s owner has retired and the owners of Pho G-Beef bought the restaurant space. She hopes to open Pho G-Beef on January 10, 2025, but this opening date is not set in stone. Customers can expect plenty of pho options and other Vietnamese entrees and sides.

In addition to having plenty of foot traffic, Pho G-Beef will thrive in this location because it is the only Vietnamese eatery in the area. While The Original Sab-E-Lee and Aaharn56 Thai cuisine are nearby, they offer Thai cuisine. This will become the closest Vietnamese restaurant until you get to Mira Mesa. On top of serving pho and other Vietnamese entrees, the restaurant will also offer various alcoholic options, as its liquor license is still pending.

This is the latest development from the Rancho Penasquites Towne Center, with four vacant spots available for lease. Earlier this year, the last remaining location of The Original Sab-E-Lee changed owners, with Supapan Sotho and Chanyanut Wannaspoha taking over ownership at the Rancho Penasquitos site. While the shopping center is constantly evolving with new tenants, a handful of them, such as Knotty Barrel and Vons, have made this area into a very busy retail district, making this a perfect spot for Pho G-Beef.
