Ocho Mexican Food & Cafe is setting up in the Bankers Hill neighborhood, preparing to serve up creative Mexican dishes to the nearby healthcare professionals and locals. The 1,000-square-foot restaurant at Fourth and Fir stands adjacent to various medical offices and steps from Balboa Park.
Owners Alberto and Maria Ochoa are working on an all-day menu, offering quick service and delivery options from their pick-up window with sidewalk bartops for on-site diners.
Alberto Ochoa tells What Now San Diego guests can expect handheld breakfast burritos, pastries, their version of a Mexican Mocha and other variations of Mexican coffee drinks. Other offerings include roasted corn on the cob with your choice of toppings, and Ocho’s signature Mexi-Cakes (mini pancakes).
If all goes well, Ocho Mexican Food & Cafe is expected to open in Spring 2023. Follow on Instagram to stay updated on the new cafe.
