It appears University Ave. in San Diego is going to get two new eateries, both owned by Rolf Chilcote and Monique Girton. The co-owners of Barrel and Board and Salad To Go recently filed for liquor licenses at 1023 and 1027 University Ave., and a temporary liquor permit was issued for the two locations on May 26th.

The new eateries will be right next to each other and take over the spaces most recently occupied by Bo-beau Kitchen and Caché and Tacos Libertad. This means the eateries will be situated along bustling University Ave, between 10th Avenue and Vermont Street. The area has plenty of street parking and many other eateries and shops in the vicinity.

We were unable to reach the owners in time for publication, so keep an eye out for developments the next time you’re driving down University Ave, and, as always, check back in with What Now San Diego.
