Nekter Juice Bar announced this week that a new multi-unit agreement has been signed with franchise partners Batta Foods out of Southern California. QSR Magazine reports the agreement will bring an additional 16 Nekter locations to the region.
Batta Foods, led by Gagan and Aman Batta, have been in partnership with Nekter since 2016. The group has opened 17 locations thus far and are looking at opening ten more juice bars in the next five years.
According to reports, Nekter is projected to sign at least 100 franchise agreements in 2022. Target markets include Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, and San Antonio.
Nekter co-founder and CEO, Steve Schulze, told Franchise Times that 2021 brought the company a 28% revenue increase. Their growth is congruent with their ability to keep up with shifts in consumer preferences; the brand was quick to offer contactless pick-up options and offered a mobile app and third party delivery services even prior to the pandemic.
