The Belmont Park restaurant, Mr. Ruriberto’s Taco Shop will open their second location in the South Bay. They’ll be taking over the spot formerly occupied by El Cilantro on 13th Street at Palm Avenue in Imperial Beach.
Established in 1996, Mr. Ruriberto’s specializes in authentic Mexican food and seafood. The restaurant is getting ready to build on their legacy, drawn to a new beachy locale in IB.
Their menu includes street tacos, rolled tacos and specialty burritos like the Mar y Tierra, which is their surf and turf style with shrimp and carne asada. For breakfast, stop in for a Chilaquiles plate or a Buenos Dias burrito filled with potato, eggs, and cheese.
The taco shop is in their home stretch, finalizing their remodel of the space and hoping to open later in December. Follow their new Instagram page for the big reveal of their new IB spot.
