The company’s sixth location is set to replace Poke Vida, according to the company’s website and first reported by SanDiegoVille. There’s no exact timeline for the opening, but it’s likely to be before the end of the year. When it opens, customers can expect freshly made warm cookies, homemade ice cream, and delicious milk from Rose Brothers to go with all of it. While this will be an excellent location, Milk & Cookies will have stiff competition nearby, with Insomnia Cookies and Cookie Plug being downtown’s go-to cookie spots.

Despite the competition, this is a tremendous accomplishment for owner Chasen McNaughton, who started the business in 2020 after successfully owning The Great American Barbershop and Pedego Electric Bikes in Orange County, which he still operates today. Milk & Cookies began in Newport Beach before expanding to Santa Ana Metro, Mission Viejo, Fullerton, and Temecula. The business will enter San Diego later this year with a stellar lineup of cookies that includes jumbo-sized cookies in flavors such as s’mores, peanut buttercup, sea salted caramel, oreo white chocolate, and more.

“If you are looking for an ice cream sandwich with sour gummy worm cookies and avocado ice cream, you’re not going to find it here,” according to the company’s website. “We created milk and cookies with one thing in mind. Back to the basics! Classic cookies that are always served warm. Artisanal Ice cream made in small batches with all-natural ingredients. And the best milk you will ever have. We use only the highest quality ingredients to provide our customers with the ultimate dessert experience.”
