Created by sisters, Vanessa and Veronica Castillo, their travels turned them onto the Hungarian pastry called Kürtőskalács. Also known as “Chimney Cakes,” the hollowed pastry makes for a perfect fillable handheld treat.

Mia Sorella Chimney Cakes come in sweet options with fillings like Chocolate Ganache with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, and Apple Pie with crunchy streusel. Or try a savory Chimney Cake dusted in parmesan cheese and herbs, filled with arugula salad and tossed in a vinaigrette with tomatoes.

You can currently order their product online, find them at the Little Italy Mercato, and at their Valle de Guadalupe storefront in Ensenada, MX.

What Now San Diego reached out to Mia Sorella for an update on the next space and will update with plans as they become available. For now, check out Mia Sorella Chimney Cakes on Instagram and order directly from their Website
