Established in 2015 by Founder Maya Madsen, Maya’s Cookies highlights their place as a female-run and black-owned business. Vegan or not, sweet tooths rejoice over Maya’s soft-baked cookies made with high quality plant-based ingredients. You can even grab wheat-free cookies and order your cookies shipped across the country.

On the menu, Maya’s Cookies features unique flavors like their Drunken Grandma, an oatmeal cookie with rum-soaked raisins, Birthday Cake generously doused with rainbow sprinkles, and their Famous Everything Cookie which is a mix of your favorite sweet and salty treats like chocolate chips, marshmallow, and pretzels.

Their second storefront will join the likes of Newtopia Cyder, Buona Forchetta, and Wynn’s Ice Cream at the growing North City development by Sea Breeze Properties. The “city within a city” near the CSU San Marcos campus is a pedestrian-friendly community with weekly live music events and Farmers Markets.

A grand opening date for North City is yet to be announced but is expected in Late Spring 2022. Catch up with Maya’s Cookies by following on Instagram and support their Grantville location at 4760 Mission Gorge Place.
