What Now San Diego shared news on San Diego’s first Randy’s location will be making its way to Murphy Canyon Road off of Aero Drive in Serra Mesa. Eater reports that 10 locations of Randy’s Donuts are expected in the region, led by franchising partner and San Diego resident Emilio Tamez.

Owner Mark Kelegian purchased Randy’s in 2014 with intent to explore growth through franchising. While the brand holds significant recognition in the donut category, Randy’s is committed to the tradition of serving hand-made donuts using proprietary ingredients.

Tamez will head up operations in the coming San Diego donut shops, eyeing the South Bay for additional storefronts among other areas in the region. Tamez operates two Chula Vista businesses: Taqueria Revolucion and Sadie’s Handcrafted Mexican Ice Cream. Sadie’s holds an exclusive partnership with Randy’s Donuts, serving donut sandwiches filled with Sadie’s signature flavors.

We can expect the first Randy’s Donuts to debut in San Diego in January 2023. Visit their Website for more information.
