Tao Group acquired the Fifth Avenue real estate formerly occupied by Searsucker in 2021 from parent company Hakkasan Group. Searsucker closed in Summer 2020 due to pandemic restrictions and general uncertainty.

LAVO is an upscale Italian restaurant, known for its cuisine inspired by the Southern coast of Italy and robust cocktail program. On the menu, expect to find elegant seafood plates like Clams Oreganata and Red Prawn Crudo, plus wood-fired pizzas, indulgent pasta dishes, and Italian specialty entrees like Veal Chop Marsala.

The group has been holding interviews at Nova in the Gaslamp to gear up for their future opening. There is not yet a projected opening date but reports say the restaurant is preparing to reveal LAVO in Summer 2022. Get to know their menu by visiting their Website and follow LAVO SD on Instagram for updates.
