Since its inception in August 2022, the restaurant has gained the attention of several local publications. San Diego Magazine, Reader, and others voted Kebab Craft Mediterranean Grill one of San Diego’s best restaurants this year and last year. The success has translated directly into a new location, as mentioned on the company’s Instagram and confirmed by What Now San Diego. It’s unclear where this new location will land or when it’s expected to open.

Co-owners Shannon and Paul Salhany launched the restaurant exactly two years ago this month in Point Loma’s Liberty Public Market. It offers delicious Mediterranean options, such as a pita sandwich, bowl, or plate customized with various proteins, toppings, and sauces. Kebab Craft also offers a handful of chef creations, including loaded French fries, a Greek salad, and a Cali Kebab featuring French fries, tomato, onion, feta cheese, mixed cheese, choice of protein, and sauce in a wrap. The company also offers catering during this time.

“Kebab Craft is centered around familiar Mediterranean-Middle Eastern favorites with a California flair,” according to the company’s website. “The menu offers an approachable lineup of build-your-own staples, including plates, bowls, and pitas, alongside standalone chef signatures such as the Cali Kebab. In just their first year of opening, they have been awarded in three categories: Best Mediterranean Restaurant, Best Caterer, and Best New Restaurant in San Diego by San Diego Union-Tribune, San Diego Reader, and San Diego Magazine in 2023.”
