Among Kathryn Roger’s 5 Principles for Vivacious Living is “Eat with Intention.” The principle asks you to live as presently as possible every time you sit down to enjoy even a small bite. “Wrap yourself in gratitude and love for nature’s bounty,” Rogers suggests, “and for your strong and healthy body for receiving the nourishment it needs to thrive.” And through her catering company, Vivacious Dish, Rogers asks you to do just that.

Rogers is a personal chef who not only creates farm-to-table pop-up dinners and offers cooking classes, she also bakes up ‘nourishing’ confections that use all natural ingredients and zero refined sugars.

Rogers’ Vivacious Desserts are creative twists on classic favorites. Take, for example, her raw chocolate truffles rolled in coconut and cinnamon, or perhaps you’d rather indulge in creamy cauliflower cherry vanilla ice cream? Rogers also offers catered appetizers and meals for a range of events.

According to her website, Rogers’ inspiration to create 100% gluten free, organic, and sustainably sourced desserts was  “the freedom from pain and chronic inflammation she found when removing refined sugar and processed grains from her diet, and she loves sharing the deliciousness with the local community.”

Now it appears Rogers will be able to share her confections from a more permanent location. Vivacious Dish recently filed a permit application for 3349 Adams Ave. in San Diego. The space has 1,528 square feet for Rogers to work with and is perched right on the corner of Adams Ave. and Felton St.

We were unable to reach Rogers at the time of publication, so we can’t currently say when her brick-and-mortar will be up and running or if the shop will serve as a catering office or home to her delicious confections.
