Born during the pandemic, Joye’s Gone Grazey is on track to expand and serve more in-person events. Like many folks who experienced layoffs in 2020 due to the pandemic, Owner Joye West took that interruption in employment to switch gears and build a business out of her passion for food and parties.

“One of my dream jobs was to be a party planner,” West tells What Now San Diego. “I love meat and cheese and all things food, quite frankly. I started making boards for my friends and family, then I started realizing that wow, this can turn into a legit business.”

After getting started last year, West has learned a lot along the way as she creates unique and creative charcuterie boards and fully styled grazing tables. She has operated thus far by delivering ready-to-eat boards to parties or gatherings, and styling tables directly in the party host’s home or venue. Now Joye’s Gone Grazey has filed a permit to move into Freshly Prepped Commercial Kitchen in Bonita

West says, “The space will allow me to grow the business, in a legitimate way, and the ability to take on more work and produce boards a lot faster.” The new prep kitchen also has event space for tenants to utilize. West plans to use the event space to host workshops for crafty party planners like herself to learn how to create their own stylized boards and tables to wow their guests and Instagram followers. The new kitchen and event space in Bonita allows a business like hers to keep costs down while still being able to mix it up with the public.

As we near the holidays and party season, Joye’s Gone Grazey is gearing up for growth and will start producing even more festive boards. See Joye West’s beautiful creations on Instagram or Facebook and message for more information.
