Dubbed “a new disruptor in the Gaslamp Quarter,” Johnny WAHOO! Golf Bar is preparing to introduce the first golf-simulation bar to Downtown. The interactive restaurant and bar will replace Volcano Rabbit on Fifth Avenue.
The concept is by San Diego hospitality experts, RMD Group, the same team behind other Fifth Ave spots like Lumi, Huntress, and Rustic Root.
According to the RMD Events Website, Johnny WAHOO! Golf Bar promises two Full Swing Golf Simulators plus non-specified gameplay, indoor and outdoor seating, and a lively bar. Their menu looks to serve up shareable bar snacks, salads, burgers, and flatbreads, along with beer and signature cocktails.
According to a recent Craigslist job posting, the team at RMD Group is encouraging locals to “Become a Wahoo!” ahead of their opening Downtown.
