“We love Carlsbad’s nice weather and friendly people,” Owner Jerry Zhang from Ichitaru Ramen shares with What Now San Diego via email. “We have done a survey on the residents of the area and they have great enthusiasm and expectations for ramen. We are honored to bring our ramen here!”

Fans of spicy food are in luck because this Ramen spot has a challenge for you! A major menu feature is the “Spicy Challenge.”

Customers can choose from 1-20 grades of spiciness. If you’re brave enough to order and complete a Level 20 Ichitaru Ramen within their specified time, you’ll win “FREE toppings for life!”

“Our menu focuses on drum-bone ramen and vegetarian ramen, which are very traditional Japanese ramen,” explains Zhang. “We sincerely hope that San Diego can feel our enthusiasm!”

Ichitaru Ramen is currently making preparations to bring the perfect ramen to Carlsbad and expect to open in November. Keep updated with latest developments on Facebook and Instagram
