Hawaiian Fresh Seafood owner Frank Porcelli has a big month of poke plans for San Diegans in the month of September. Earlier this week, SanDiegoVille broke the news of Hawaiian Fresh Seafood moving into Liberty Station. What Now San Diego spoke with Porcelli to confirm details of the new location, which you’ll be able to find on Historic Decatur Road next to Tender Greens and Luna Grill.

The site will be exclusively poke served in its authentic Hawaiian style. Expect to find 6-12 varieties of pre-mixed poke, served atop white or brown rice, or salad. With a liquor license on its way, the space is expected to serve local San Diego beers and Hawaiian beers to amp up the authenticity. The restaurant is expected to open around September 15th.

Frank also shared breaking news that alongside the Liberty Station plans, HFS is prepping a food truck to take their authentic poke on the road. The refrigerated food truck is set to come with a seafood display and much like the restaurant, the focus is strictly poke. However, Frank and his team are open to possibly creating new menu items to serve sashimi and sushi rolls at the truck. Look for the Hawaiian Fresh Seafood Poke Food Truck to roll into town in mid-September.
