Established in 1991, Hans & Harry’s Bakery has built a following in Bonita for their classic European desserts. Dubbed the Home of the Fresh Fruit Strudel, the bakery is a staple for South Bay residents. After the retirement of owner Hans Zandee in 2015, Sumi Campbell joined the likes of Harry Eijsermans as new Co-Owner to continue the tradition and uphold the reputation of Hans & Harry’s Bakery for generations to come.
What Now San Diego recently confirmed with Sumi Campbell the business’ plans to make improvements to their space in the coming months. According to their Website, their current space at 5080 Bonita Road is only able to accommodate 10 customers at a time. Between space and availability of staff, the bakery is looking to make improvements to their facility in order to welcome in more customers and increase the amount of custom-baked goods heading out-the-door.
Hans & Harry’s is unable to share more information at this time while they wait to solidify plans. Their storefront remains open with limited services available based on their availability of staff and products.
