The ice cream shop have expanded their footprint throughout the San Diego market with locations popping up in San Marcos, Carlsbad, and coming soon to Oceanside and Vista

Franchise Owner Josh Barton tells What Now San Diego they have been eyeing the South Bay to introduce their unique brand to the area. “No other ice cream concept does what we do. We make everything in house,” explains Barton.

Their plans won’t stop after Chula Vista. They’ll soon be searching for their next spot around National City, plus expect a central San Diego location soon.

Handel’s is known for its old-fashioned, made-fresh-daily appeal, with exclusive flavors like Monkey Business, Spouse Like a House, and Blue Monster. The tradition began in Ohio and has grown with franchises in Texas, Florida, Nevada, and California.

Handel’s Chula Vista is projected to open in Spring 2022. Stop in to any of their open shops in Del Mar, Santee, and Pacific Beach to try their Seasonal Flavor: Peppermint Stick. Order pints or a 4-Scoop Sampler directly from Instagram or their Website to pick up at your nearest location.
