The Mexico City based hospitality group has recently entered the US market, kicking off with a homestyle taqueria called Alma Cocina de Mexico opening this month at The Grove in Los Angeles. According to the LA Times, Alma is just the start of Grupo Hunan’s plans to open restaurants in Southern California.

Grupo Hunan operates two dozen upscale dining concepts in Mexico City and Cabo San Lucas, from Japanese to Italian cuisine.

Reports say the plan is to open an Italian restaurant and bar in the 7,500-square-foot space on the mall’s ground floor. Be on the lookout for news from Grupo Hunan in San Diego by Late 2022. Visit their Website for more information and a peak at all of their restaurant concepts.
