Fish With You, a Chinese-based stew-focused restaurant with over 2,000 locations worldwide, is finally making its San Diego debut in Kearny Mesa at 3904 Convoy Street, Site #101.

The company is working on opening more locations in the Bay Area and Los Angeles through franchising. There are a handful of variations of this restaurant, known as Wei’s Fish, with one location in Cupertino. The company is sticking with the name Fish With You and plans to name all future locations as such moving forward.
Speaking of future locations, Hua says she hopes to open a second location in the San Diego area if all goes well with the first site. When it opens, customers can expect variations on “suan cai yu,” a white fish and fermented cabbage stew. The restaurant’s most popular item on its menu is the bestselling Laotian boiled fish with pickled cabbage and chili. Fish With You will offer free Wuchang rice imported from China and free side dishes, such as tofu, needle mushrooms, and green leaf lettuce. To drink, there will be various teas, local beers, soju, and more.
