Owner Alberto Morreale of the Alba Restaurant Group has recently finished a remodel of the restaurant and will soon introduce two more concepts under the same roof. Morreale tells What Now San Diego that while Farmer’s Table remains open, the restaurateur is planning to launch Acqua E Farina Trattoria Romana around September 5th, offering homemade pasta, signature pizzas, plenty of cocktails, and even traditional cheese wheels. This is just the beginning for space, which opened in early 2021.

Farmer’s Table only offers brunch at the moment, but once the new Italian concept is introduced, the space will see itself transform every day to resemble the changes. Morreale tells What Now San Diego that in the mornings, the space will remain the same with Farmer’s Table, but by mid-day, the signs in the front will change, and the interior aesthetics will shift, according to the concept, giving each one their own identity within the 10,000-square-foot building.

While the new Italian concept is expected to open in the next few weeks, Morreale also plans to introduce a yet-to-be-named barbecue concept in the building. He tells What Now San Diego that opening will take a few more months. When it does, customers can expect mouthwatering barbecue and plenty of sides to go with it.

The businessman, who now has about ten different restaurants under his restaurant group, including a new concept that will replace Por Favor in La Mesa, tells What Now San Diego that he was inspired to introduce more concepts to the space after traveling through Europe and realizing he could do more with such a large building. Morreale and his team will operate all three concepts under one roof.
