Owner Lialie Ibrahim shares with What Now San Diego the location is years in the making. Ibrahim began building the concept by using friends as taste testers for recipes, which would eventually build into forming Falafel Heights as a pop-up restaurant.
You can currently find them frequenting local events with partners at Milestone Running Shop, at the Vegan Food pop-up in North Park, and at the Solana Beach Farmers Market.
“It’s a great way to bring people in to try our food and we like to be out in the community,” explains Ibrahim.
Count on Falafel Heights to keep up a schedule of pop-up events while setting up their first restaurant space on 30th Street at Polk. Falafel Heights serves fresh falafel bowls, wraps, and even nachos, plus scratch-made hummus and dips.
Falafel Heights is in the early stages of prepping the new space. An opening date is dependent on the planning process with the city. Follow Falafel Heights on Instagram for updates on an opening and visit the website for upcoming pop-up dates.
