The company’s first brick-and-mortar is set to open in the Grant Hill neighborhood near Elk’s Lodge #168, which is part of The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America, one of the oldest and largest fraternal organizations in the country. Owner Ena Bourne recently submitted documents to the San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality. She tells What Now San Diego that she hopes to open this site sometime in November but couldn’t provide an exact opening date.
When it opens, customers can expect the same menu as what is served now: seafood boils for $55 with beef sausage, potatoes, corn, eggs, jumbo shrimp, and snow crab. For $75, Chef Ena was offering deshelled fried Alaskan king crabs. Available sides include macaroni and cheese, cajun rice, and fresh green beans. Previously, the chef has served variations of different seafood entrees, such as a fried tilapia and jumbo shrimp plate for $25, eight jumbo shrimp plates for $30, and more.
This will be an excellent location for the company’s first brick-and-mortar, considering it will sit along the Orange Line trolley, giving it plenty of visibility and foot traffic. Another reason why this will be a great location for Chef Ena is the various businesses in the area, especially one block north on Imperial Avenue. Hopefully, this will become a great spot for any workers, residents, or visitors to get some delicious, authentic seafood plates.
