Founder Karl Trujillo tells What Now San Diego he was a former craft beer enthusiast who ditched the suds for scobys. “We decided to enter the Hard Kombucha space because it has such an emphasis on health. Our kombucha is gluten free, sugar free, Keto-friendly, and is rich in probiotics good for gut health. That’s what kombucha is already known for but we actually have our own proprietary blend of vitamins and nutrients called the “Elixir of Life” which supports liver detoxification while drinking,” explains Trujillo.
The “Elixir of Life” is said to be what drinkers will notice after a night of enjoying Dr. Boochart’s refreshing, spiked blends. The “Doctor” has whipped up wild blends like Booster Berry and Steam Hopper flavors, currently on tap at some North County bars and in local liquor stores.
Trujillo notes they’ll be joining the bustling neighborhood in Central Escondido, soon to mix and mingle with locals at the Cruisin’ Grand vintage car gathering and neighboring local breweries, pubs, and meaderies like Plan 9 Alehouse, Good Omen Meadery, and Hidden Hive.
Dr. Boochart’s is expected to open in Escondido in August 2022. Find their store locator by visiting their Website and follow their Instagram for taproom updates.
