The co-founder of Cohn Restaurant Group, David Cohn, says rather elegantly, “People celebrate their lives in restaurants. It is our job to create an experience worth remembering.” And for David, Leslie Cohn, and their children, the creation has only begot more. With 24 open restaurants in Southern California and Maui, it’s safe to say the group is a SoCal staple.
Recently, the restaurant group filed a liquor license for 255 Redel Rd in San Marcos. The permit, for on-sale at a general eating place, is pending. In the meantime, the space has been issued a temporary, four-month license that will expire in October.
What can should you expect at this new location? We were unable to learn the new brick-and-mortar’s concept, however the restaurant group has frequently won awards for service and community. According to the group’s website, “many of their restaurants have earned recognition in the form of restaurant awards in the San Diego area. Some of these awards include the San Diego Gold Medallion Awards, Gaslamp Quarter Association Lamplighter Awards, and other awards from local publications.”
With these accolades, it’s safe to say Tupelo will be worth the mystery.
