According to their website profile, “BenGong selects the Dragon, Phoenix, and unicorn patterns with auspicious meanings and the traditional embroidery pattern of the royal court also combines the current trending elements that are most popular with young people to create a space for a completely refreshing tea experience.” Their popular beverages options include the Passion Fruit Soda, Black Rice Taro Milk Tea, and Osmanthus Oolong Boba Tea, and BenGong Half & Half Coffee.

The San Diego shop is set to be the second California location opening in 2021 for BenGong’s Tea. Their first California offering is scheduled to open in Arcadia, CA sometime this Summer.

What Now San Diego reached out via email to BenGong’s Tea for an update but did not receive an immediate response. There are no recent updates via Instagram since their April 2021 teaser. The tea shop has yet to be added to Westfield UTC’s Dining list but will join their upscale shopping center with specialty shops.
